Ruma Just® contains only single plantation grown Yucca Schidigera with guaranteed saponin contents along with food grade carriers. Rumin protoza reduce the efficiency of fermentation in the rumen. Improved animal performance often occurs when the protoza are surpressed, Yucca Schidigera saponins are effective in suppressing Rumen Protozoa by reacting with Cholesterol in the protozoa cell membrane causing it to lyse. Sarsaponin, a glycoside of sarsasapogenin derived from Yucca Schidigera, is the principal active ingredient in Ruma-Just®. Increase in Rumen microbial efficiency has been consistent response to Sarsaponin suplementation of starting and grower finisher diets for feedlot cattle. This effect of Satsaponin may be attributed to its antiprotozol activity. |
